thought i would post an update. in case you don't know, i'm currently in sungei gedong camp as a mortar specialist in 42SAR. very secluded place with very weird people, but you learn to live with it and i think i'm doing fine so far. :)so long since i meet up with my poly, bmt, sispec buddies. not sure how well are they doing. hopefully i'll be able to squeeze some time out of my precious weekend to meet up with them. there're so many 21st birthday parties to attend this year! everyone's morphing from boy to man, from girl to ladies, teenagers to adults. lol. z. yesterday spells the end of our journey in SISPEC. a journey always kept in mind. as always you can't avoid saying goodbyes to people from time to time. the best thing i could do was to wish everyone of them best of luck with their new postings. all the way echo platoon 2 section 3. and tim, wouldn't have made it if not for you. keep in touch buddy.

so i got posted to SISPEC at pasir laba camp. everything here have been so good so far, besides the distance that i have to travel whenever i book in and out. In SISPEC, they emphasize a lot on leadership qualities, they expect us to take the initiative in whatever we're doing. over here, we have more free time, more canteen breaks till you get sick of it, more freedom, less scoldings, less push ups compared to being a recruit. it's also weird to wake up in the morning and not seeing my old section mates, i miss them terribly. but not too bad, at least after almost 2 weeks with my new section mates, they're fun people to be with, and hopefully we'll be as united as my old section mates.and yes thanks for all the birthday wishes and the time taken to celebrate it with me. even though my birthday falls on my book in day, you guys had made this birthday more happening than i expected. made me realised how fortunate i am to have friends that are so awesome and lovely. big thank you. to my friends that are enlisted or enlisting soon, all the best to your bmt. z. hello friends, not too good with the updates huh. this pretty much sums up what i've been going through.days, they seems like years. running with a heavy heart, just like how my thoughts are. its a little rough here, pulling me down. memories rings, and here i go again, they push me on. staring at the horizon, scream and shout, wish upon this small volume, could reach the loved ones. learn to appreciate the small, accomplish the big. miles to go, tough times will end, my fire won't. z. |
